What people mean by 1 to 100

Two different things. Either the products that land between 1 and 100, which are all inside the grid above, or the times tables of numbers larger than twelve. Both are covered here.

Every product up to 100 is already there

Find one factor along the top, the other down the side, and read the cell where they meet. 10 × 10 = 100 is the last product under a hundred; anything past it, such as 11 × 10, has already gone over.

Any factor up to 100, in two easy pieces

Split the bigger number into its tens and its units, use the chart on each piece, then add. No hundred-row chart needed.

When the answer looks wrong

Almost every mistake here is a lost zero: 40 × 6 is 240, not 24. Check the size before you check the digits. 47 × 6 has to sit between 40 × 6 and 50 × 6, so between 240 and 300. Anything outside that range is wrong no matter how neat the working looks.
