Reading the grid
One factor runs down the left, the other across the top, and the answer sits where they cross. Read a row and you get one table: the sixth row is 6 x 7 = 42, then 6 x 8 = 48, each step adding another six. That is the check to use when a square looks wrong. If the gap between two neighbours is not the row number, the eye has slipped a line.

Which one for which job
A full grid is a reference: good on a wall, good for spotting that the answers repeat around the diagonal. A single table is for learning, because one row at a time is a small enough piece to hold. A blank grid is the only one of the three that tests anything, since a filled chart will happily be copied without a single fact going in.
Half the grid is a copy
The 144 squares are not 144 separate facts. Everything above the diagonal repeats below it, because 4 x 9 = 36 and 9 x 4 = 36 are the same square seen twice. Take out the 1, 2, 5 and 10 rows, which most people already have, and what is left to learn is a small band in the middle: mostly the sixes, sevens, eights and nines against each other.
Printing
Landscape first. If the last columns still slide off the page, use the fit-to-page setting or lower the scale to around 80 per cent rather than shrinking the browser window, which reflows the table instead of resizing it.
